Managing Director & Lead Economist
Wangari Muikia is the CEO of Expertise Global Consulting Ltd. (Expertise), a public finance management advisory services firm focused on fit for purpose and fit for context solutions to improve public service delivery. 
At Expertise, Wangari leads a team of consultants advising national and local governments, on strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their fiscal and financial contexts. She is a macro-economist by training and expertise, with a focus on own-source revenue enhancement.
In the last 3 years, she has led in engagements including developing public finance management frameworks, strengthening county revenue management, own source revenue potential assessments, and health system capacity needs assessments in Kenya and eSwatini.
Wangari is on the Advisory Board of several organizations around the world, including Watipa Community Interest Company, Y-Fi Africa, WeCreate Kenya, and the Second Chances Cancer Foundation. She recently won an award from the Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, for Kenya Best Woman in Business nationally. Wangari also regularly writes a blog on the company website, and appears regularly as an economic analyst in the media.
Wangari has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma, and Masters of Public Administration in International Development from Harvard University.

Board Member
Eric is a seasoned communicator with over 20 years’ experience in media operations and management. Having worked as Senior Editor in charge of Digital Media at Capital FM and a News Anchor at KTN, Eric was also the founder General Manager of Kenya’s first 24-hour news television station – K24, and was among the pioneers at Family FM/ TV and Kameme FM.
He is currently one of three hosts of Kenya’s premiere morning radio talk show – The Situation Room – that broadcasts on Spice FM and KTN.
He is also the Director and Lead Consultant for Zeze Digital Agency, a company that offers training and development of strategies in digital marketing and communications.
He has also worked as a consultant in media training and turnkey media projects for a number of organizations including Baraka FM, Frontier FM, Mbaitu FM, Syokimau FM, Radio Umoja, and Premier Gas among others.
Eric’s key strengths are in communications concepts and strategy, media training, digital strategy development and training, TV & radio production, advertising strategy and implementation.
He serves as a non-executive Director on the board of Superior Homes (Kenya) PLC, a real estate development company.
MARTHA CHERUTO

Board Member
Martha Cheruto is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA); the private sector apex body that brings together the business community under a single umbrella to engage and influence public policy for an enabling business environment. She is an advisory board member of Expertise Global Consulting Limited.
Martha is currently pursuing a PhD in Management & Leadership at MUA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), a diploma in Efficient Energy Use & Planning from Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA, Sweden) and a Masters in Management & Leadership from Management University of Africa (MUA). She is a qualified engineer registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) and The Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK), a member of Women on Board Network, a Certified Energy Manager. She has pursued several courses, locally and internationally on policy and legislative drafting, renewable energy, strategy development, finance, industrial operations, among others. She is a recipient of the Women in Energy Professional Technical Award, Kenya; Tech Women Emerging Leaders Program 2020/21 and a Finalist for Outstanding Women in Water and Power, South Africa.
A seasoned Engineer with a wealth of experience in both public and private sector, Martha has a track record of contributing to the overall growth strategy of organizations. She is highly accomplished in advocacy, coordination of project activities, stakeholder management, public policy formulation, private sector sustainable development, energy, climate change, green growth, and Government relations. She has co-chaired two national taskforces spearheading development of Climate Change Policy, Climate Change Act 2016 and Green Economy Strategy and Implementation Plan. As a Certified Energy Manager, Martha has been instrumental in promoting adoption of energy efficiency and conservation on a national scale.
Prior to joining KEPSA, Martha worked in Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) and Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM). During her tenure at the organizations, she has supported manufacturers in facilitating a conducive environment for trade, business development and supply efficiency. She has been a speaker and a facilitator in local and global conferences on energy, climate change and private sector development. She is actively involved in mentorship, women empowerment, and community development through her representation as a council member of FGM to STEM; a program under Women in Energy.
Her driving force is and has always been, to be happy and to be the best version of oneself in everything one does.
KAMOTHO WAIGANJO

KAMOTHO WAIGANJO

Board Member
An advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Holds both a bachelor’s and Master of Law degrees from the University of Nairobi and a Certificate in Public Finance and Decentralization from Duke University, USA.  Has been in private practice for over 25 years handling commercial and property law. Currently Senior partner KMM Advocates.  Has been involved in leadership in various private and public commercial entities, religious, educational and Non-State institutions including being a member of the Law Society of Kenya Council and Chairing the Board of CLEAR and Kituo Cha Sheria both legal aid institutions.  Was a lecturer at the Kenya School of Law for several years. Served as a Commissioner of the defunct Constitutional Implementation Commission where he oversaw legislative developments in the Public Finance Sector and Devolution. Since CIC he’s engaged in consultancy work on constitutional issues particularly on Devolution. Is a columnist with the Standard Newspaper. Is a husband, a father to several children and grandfather to two lovely girls
ANGELA KABIRU

Board Member
Angela Kabiru is a seasoned international development professional with expertise in decentralisation and local governance institutional reform and capacity development; and in local economic development and optimising decent work in infrastructure investments. She has over 20 years professional experience working with the United Nations at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in senior leadership roles at country and regional level in Africa. She has extensive experience in programme strategy formulation and design, managing implementation of large public sector reform and capacity development programmes and in providing high level technical advice and working closely with national and sub-national governments, private sector and civil society organisations and development partners across Africa.
Angela is passionate about building strong and accountable public institutions that deliver equitable and effective services and nurture inclusive, productive societies and strong economies. She has worked in and undertaken assignments across several African countries most recently in Kenya, e-Swatini, Uganda, Somalia and Zimbabwe and currently works as an independent consultant based in Nairobi. She holds an MBA and has undertaken several courses in decentralisation, local governance and programme management.
