Project Development of the Affordable Medicines Facility – Malaria Unit
The Affordable Medicines Facility – malaria (AMFm) was created to support the supply of publicly subsidized drugs to meet public and private sector demand in malaria-endemic countries. The premise behind this is that if Artemisia’s are priced more competitively, resistance to them will be delayed.
This project formulated the organizational structure through which the AMFm was to operate including the subsidy structure to be proposed to malaria drug manufacturers.
